Shimizu Takashi is ready for his second 3D horror film
After creating “The Shock Labyrinth 3D”, which is Asia’s first 3D horror film, director Shimizu Takashi (38) is all set to work on his second 3D horror film. The movie he has planned is titled “Rabbit Horror 3D”, and it will star Mitsushima Hikari (24).
Rabbit Horror 3D will be filmed using Panasonic’s dual-lens AG-3DA1 camera, and it will use Christian Doyle as the main cinematographer. The movie is inspired by Alice in Wonderland, as the story mainly focuses on a stuffed rabbit from an alternate world. Just to give an outline of the movie, it tells the story of Mitsushima’s brother, who is sent to an alternate world after receiving the rabbit. To retrieve her brother, Mitsushima’s character will unravel the secret behind the animal.
The cast for the movie includes Kagawa Teruyuki (44), Omori Nao (38), and Ogawa Tamaki (38). The filming is expected to be finished on September 8, as director Shimizu is set to go the Venice Film Festival. He’ll be heading the jury of the event’s 3D competition, and he also plans to show some footage from this movie there.
“Rabbit Horror 3D” will open in theatres in 2011.
